The undersigned, as a client, participant, or purchaser of services provided by Teach The Leash, acknowledges that animal training, handling, walking, socialization, boarding, and related activities involve inherent risks. In consideration of participating in or purchasing Teach The Leash services, the client understands and agrees to the following terms:
The client hereby releases and waives any claims that the client may now or hereafter have against Teach The Leash, its owner, trainers, contractors, representatives, or assigns arising from participation in training, coaching, boarding, socialization, or other animal-related services, except to the extent such a release is prohibited by applicable law.
The client understands that working with animals involves unpredictable behavior and that injuries or property damage may occur despite reasonable precautions. This may include, without limitation, bites, scratches, falls, escape of an animal, encounters with other animals, damage to personal property, or injuries to the client's animal, the client, or another person.
The client is responsible for providing accurate information concerning their animal's health, temperament, behavioral history, aggression, bite history, fears, physical limitations, and any other condition that could reasonably affect the safety or effectiveness of training.
The client acknowledges and voluntarily assumes the risks associated with animal training and handling, including leash training, obedience training, behavioral exercises, socialization, outdoor training, and the implementation of techniques or exercises demonstrated or recommended by Teach The Leash.
The client understands that animals are independently behaving living creatures and that no specific behavioral outcome can be guaranteed. Results vary based on factors including the animal's temperament, age, health, prior experiences, environment, motivation, the client's consistency in following training recommendations, and circumstances outside the control of Teach The Leash.
When training is conducted remotely, through photographs or video, or through instructions provided online, the client is responsible for determining whether the immediate environment is safe before attempting any exercise. The client agrees to discontinue an exercise if the client reasonably believes that continuing could create an unsafe situation for the client, the animal, another person, or another animal.
The foregoing provisions shall be binding upon the client and, to the extent permitted by applicable law, the client's heirs, successors, legal representatives, and assigns. The client is also responsible for ensuring that family members, guests, or other persons participating in training activities under the client's direction understand and follow applicable safety instructions.
By purchasing services, scheduling a training session, or otherwise indicating acceptance of these terms, the client acknowledges that they have read and agree to this Release and Waiver of Claims and the policies described below.
Scheduled private lessons must be cancelled or rescheduled at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson time. Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice and missed appointments may be charged at the normal lesson rate.
If a training package includes multiple sessions, the client is responsible for scheduling and completing those sessions within any time period specified when the package is purchased. Teach The Leash may make reasonable exceptions when illness, travel, animal health, or other circumstances prevent completion within that period.
For services involving video review, remote consultation, or online coaching, the client is responsible for submitting requested materials and completing recommended exercises within a reasonable period of time. Delays caused by the client's failure to submit materials or participate in the training process do not constitute a failure of the training service.
When boarding or Board & Train services are booked through a third-party platform, the cancellation, payment, refund, and protection policies of that platform may also apply. Where a third-party platform's terms conflict with policies governing a reservation made through that platform, the applicable platform terms will govern that transaction.
Teach The Leash does not guarantee that every cat or dog will achieve a particular behavioral result or become comfortable walking on a leash. Individual animals learn and respond differently, and some animals may ultimately be poor candidates for particular activities.
If a client completes the recommended training program, follows the training instructions, and is not seeing meaningful progress, Teach The Leash will review the client's training experience and, when appropriate, provide additional recommendations or a customized training plan at no additional charge.
When Teach The Leash reasonably determines that continuing a particular training goal is unlikely to benefit the animal, or may create unnecessary stress or safety concerns, Teach The Leash may recommend modifying or discontinuing that goal. Such a recommendation will not be considered a failure of the training program.
This satisfaction guarantee is intended as a commitment to reasonable continued training support and does not constitute a money-back guarantee or guarantee of any specific result.
When overnight boarding is reserved through Rover or another third-party service, any guarantees, protections, cancellation policies, or reimbursement programs offered by that service are governed by the terms of the applicable third-party platform.
By submitting or uploading photographs, videos, recordings, or other media to Teach The Leash, the client grants Teach The Leash a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, edit, crop, publish, display, and distribute the submitted media for training, educational, demonstration, advertising, social media, website, and other promotional purposes related to Teach The Leash.
The client retains ownership of media they submit. Teach The Leash will not sell ownership of submitted photographs or videos to third parties.
The client represents that they own the submitted media or otherwise have the authority to grant permission for its use. If submitted media includes an identifiable person other than the client, the client represents that they have obtained any permission reasonably necessary to authorize its submission and use.
Teach The Leash may identify an animal by name in connection with submitted media. Personally identifying information about the client will not be intentionally published with submitted media without the client's permission.
